Since 1950 Tamron have been producing quality lenses for photographic applications. Over the last 65 years, Tamron have introduced several firsts including T-Mount in the late 1950's and the adaptall mount system in the mid 1970's.
Ever since then, Tamron have innovated and produced superb lenses to fit all the major manufacturers.
In 1979 Tamron introduced the now legendary Super Performance (SP) range of lenses to the market.
In the early 2000's Tamron introduced the Di range of lenses, the Di lenses are designed for use on 35mm cameras, but were also designed to be used with the then new Digital SLR cameras.
Tamron introduced the Di II range of lenses soon after, the Di II range of lenses have been developed to be used on Cameras where the digital sensor is the smaller APS-C size unit.
Tamron have now introduced the Di III range of lenses for the burgoning Mirrorless system camera market. These lenses are designed for the micro 4/3 and Sony E range of cameras.
